2024 Board of Directors Election
The Southern Rhode Island Conservation District will be holding an election for two members of the district’s board of directors on:

Monday, November 18
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
 Fresh Harvest Kitchen
9 East Avenue , Westerly

Running for re-election on November 12 are current board members:

Phil Moreschi of Charlestown , running for a two-year term
Katy Keiffer of Wakefield, running for a three-year term

All occupiers of land within the district (Washington County and Kent County) are eligible to vote. Advance registration is not required; however, proof of residency in the district is required (e.g., driver’s license, utility bill, copy of a lease).

Each Conservation District is governed by a five member Board of Directors.  District Directors must be local landowners and are either elected or appointed to a three year term of office according to RIGL 2-4-8 and RIGL 2-4-9.  Directors represent local citizens in conservation issues.
