Our services include trails mapping, biological surveys and inventories, interpretive materials and signs design, visitor guides, check lists, self-guided activities, volunteer training, guided walks, resource mapping, and more. In addition to for fee services, SRICD can partner with public and private entities to seek grant funding to implement projects, as well as provide project management services.

SRICD offers Project Wild, Aquatic Wild, and Growing Up Wild professional development sessions for formal and informal educators. SRICD offers various workshops tailored to meet your needs and designed to give teachers the tools to take science outdoors. Project WILD is a wildlife-focused conservation education program for K-12 educators and their students. Project WILD is one of the most widely-used conservation and environmental education programs among educators of students in kindergarten through high school. It is based on the premise that young people and educators have a vital interest in learning about our natural world. A national network of State Wildlife Agency Sponsors ensures that Project WILD is available nationwide and is training educators in the many facets of the program. Emphasizing wildlife because of its intrinsic value, Project WILD addresses the need for human beings to develop as responsible citizens of our planet.

SRICD offers Project Wild training to provide teachers and informal educators with additional resources to teach environmental literacy, and facilitate the use of open spaces, land trust properties, school yards, and other outdoor spaces as living classrooms. SRICD can help teachers align and adapt lessons from any of the curriculum guides to complement local outdoor environments and enhance existing lessons. Participants receive curriculum and activity guides and other resources for participating in the workshops.

SRICD can assist teachers in planning and executing extracurricular school needs in natural resource topics on school grounds or at your favorite park, or other location. Our staff can assist teachers to develop and implement lessons or offer classroom visits to discuss a variety of topics focused on conservation, biology, natural resources, agriculture, stormwater run-off, food production, pollinators, and many more. We can run afterschool programs or garden clubs in partnership with your staff, or even summer camp programs. In addition to low cost, for-fee services, SRICD can partner with public and private entities to seek grant funding to implement projects and trainings.
